Pocono  Northeast Resource Conservation & Development Council (RC&D) is a publicly supported nonprofit (IRS-501c3) organization serving ten counties in northeastern and central Pennsylvania.

     Directed by a group of dedicated volunteers appointed by sponsoring Conservation Districts, Council members represent numerous interests and disciplines, including agriculture, forestry, environment, education, wildlife management, mine reclamation, recreation and economic development.  The RC&D Council is supported by several federal and state cooperating agencies, nonprofit groups, and interested individuals.  The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides technical and administrative support to the Council through a project coordinator.  All who support the Council's purpose and goals are invited to participate.
